See it Like it is ... "itis"

I was just listening to a CD by Esther and Jerry Hicks of the Teachings of Abraham Hicks and heard Abraham say that we all suffer from "see it like it is ... itis". Isn't that true! I know even I, myself, have had that syndrome a few times... quite a few times!

We tend to focus on "what is" in our present moment. Now, that's great when the "what is" is something that we deem as a good thing / something that makes us happy. However, when our "what is" is something that we deem as a bad thing and it makes us feel "not so good", well then, that's when we get into some trouble. Here's a quote from Abraham's teachings that says it all:

"The Universe does not know whether the vibration that you're offering is because of something you're observing or something you're remembering or something that you are imagining. It just receives the vibration and answers it with things that match it."

So, if I am "seeing it like it is" and I don't like what I see and I keep on focusing on that thing I don't want and don't like ... guess what ... Yes, you got it ... I keep on getting the very same thing that I don't like. And this is SOOOOO true. I have proven it over and over again in my life. How about you?

"See it like it is ... itis" really resonated with me. Now, I know what I have to do in order to attract what I DO WANT into my life. Sometimes I think that children have the secret to this. Have you ever noticed how kids can forget something that just happened real easily. They don't dwell on the topic and focus on it all day. Their minds are off to something new, something that excites them, something that puts a smile on their faces. That's what I did yesterday. I was focusing on something that I didn't like and decided to go out and do something that put a smile on my face.

I also realized that "letting go" of the things I want is an important part of the equation of getting exactly what I want. This has been proven to me time and time again in my life as well. To me "letting go" means to stop focusing on it so much and to be OK with however it turns out. It releases the negative aspect of that feeling you have when you are holding on. To me ... "holding on" to something implies "lack" or a feeling like you can't find what you are looking for any where else. But that's not true. Abundance prevails out there. There are so many different ways that the things we want can come to us.

So, today I am choosing to "see it like it is" only if it makes me feel "really good" and if not, I am going to focus on the vision; stir up my imagination like a child would; and I am going to "let go" of what I am holding onto so tight and realize that all that I want is there for the taking as long as I feel good. It's all there. Life IS good and I CAN have anything I want to have.

Create an extraordinary Lovin' Life day for yourself! I know I will today.
