There is a Silver Lining!

When I look back on the events of my life over the past 20 years, I see something that I didn’t see in the moment … a reason for events that occurred that at the time didn’t make sense or seemed like huge bumps in my road of life. But now, with a different perspective I can see that leaving the corporate world was more than just about starting my own business, it was soon thereafter that I was diagnosed with MS. Now, you may say, what does that have to do with anything? Well, if you know the corporate world, you also know that taking the time off to see all the doctors and taking time to absorb the news of being diagnosed with a chronic health condition may be more challenging when your boss wants you to get back to work. Most of the time, the corporation doesn’t really care about your well-being – they just care about their bottom line. Well, I was my own boss then and I was able to call the shots on how long I took off from “work” and when I made appointments to see doctors. AND I didn’t have to make that horrid commute anymore over the George Washington Bridge into NY!

I also look back at the diagnosis itself and see that it has taken me on a path that I never would have dreamed of taken. I am reaching out to others who have chronic health conditions and making a difference in their lives. That’s purpose. That’s enriching! It just plain “feels good”.

Then in my quest to build my business within the MS community, I went to a business seminar and met a doctor who was a dynamo. He had a vision to teach coaches how to coach doctors … and now I am a Certified Life Coach for Doctors and learned from one of the best entrepreneurs out there!

Then after 3.5 years of being on a traditional drug therapy for MS, I had a very severe reaction to a drug, which led me to finding natural products that are helping my body to repair, rebuild and restore. When I look back I remember me saying “I must go on a drug therapy that has been approved by the FDA because then I will feel I am doing everything I can to treat this disease.” But things have changed and I believe that there was a reason that I was one of the people who had that type of reaction … it brought me to an alternative solution that I feel even better about! I am getting to the root of the problem not just “slowing down the progression of the disease”.

On top of all the above, I have also become a teacher of The Law of Attraction -- teaching others how to shift their thoughts and feelings so that they can manifest whatever they want in their lives. I have learned that the most powerful drug of all is OUR MINDS!

We create our reality by our thoughts and feelings! Yes, we do. That's what I am passionate about teaching all my clients and everyone that I am come in contact with!

Now remember, these are my paths, my reasons, my lessons and my silver lining!

Looking back I see reason. I see purpose. I see lessons and I see hope.

So, now .. I ask you, what’s your reasons, lessons and silver lining?
