Your Happiness Level impacts your Self Image!!!

Mirror Mirror on the Wall - who's the Fattest of them all?!

Have you ever looked in the mirror and and thought "oh my, I am SO fat - look at my thighs!" And then THAT thought and feeling set your mood for the day! Right?

We can be very cruel to ourselves when we see our reflection in the mirror and we make a judgment on what we see. You know this. But the one thing you don't know is that what you see in the mirror is highly correlated with how happy you truly are when you are looking.

YES ... YOUR HAPPINESS LEVEL IMPACTS YOUR SELF-IMAGE!

Who knew?

I will speak from experience. One day I looked in the mirror and thought I looked 'heavier' that day and I didn't like what I saw. Then, being a Law of Attraction Happiness Coach, I reflected back to how I was FEELING in that moment. Was I in a good feeling place or was something bothering me that day? When I chose to reflect inward, I realized that I was frustrated by something else that was going on in my life and I wasn't making "feeling good" my #1 priority. So, as a teacher of this stuff, I chose to pivot to a better feeling place, focus on what WAS working in my life and went on a rampage of appreciation for all the blessings in my life. YES, I deliberately and consciously shifted my mood to a positive place.

Then, the next day I woke up feeling really good. I looked in the mirror and what do you think I saw ... YEP, you got it ... a thinner ME! Now, this may sound a bit crazy as you are reading this, but it IS true! My self-image was 100% correlated with how I was feeling! I didn't exactly lose weight between the previous day and then. Nope. I just chose to reach for a better feeling place and make Happiness my #1 goal.

Being happy ... NO MATTER WHAT!

That's when the magic happens.

That's when the doors to our dreams start opening.

As a Happiness Coach, I teach this to my clients and at first it can be a foreign concept to them (especially if they are not familiar with the Law of Attraction and the movie The Secret). But once they grasp this concept and REALLY embrace it -- being deliberate creators of their life experiences, they are amazed at what unfolds in their lives.

Many people have that mentality of "I'll be happy when ...". You know, I'll be happy when I lose this excess weight. I'll be happy when I meet my ideal mate. I'll be happy when my business is successful. I'll be happy when I win the lottery.

But this is not the way it works. You are setting yourself up for some serious wave of unhappiness if you are waiting for something to happen BEFORE you are happy. You must CHOOSE happiness first. You must look within and find that place where you love you for who you are right now. It may sound difficult to do, but it doesn't have to be. You are the one who decides how you feel. You are the one who chooses your emotions. I know .. you never looked at it that way. You didn't realize that you are choosing to feel the way you do -- you just thought "I can't help myself". But you CAN help yourself. You CAN reach for a better feeling in this moment.

You CAN deliberately choose to raise your Happiness Level
which will improve your self image 100%!

When you are happy, no matter what, it's as if you are wearing a different pair of lenses to see the world. You look different to you. Your life looks different to you and everyone else around you looks different to you. You perceive life differently when you put on your "happy no matter what" glasses.

So, if you don't like what you see (whether it is in the mirror, in your life, or in the world), learn how to be happy (no matter what), and what you see will change right before your eyes.

Wishing you a Lovin' Life day!
~ Coach Maria

When the clothes in the closet don't fit!

I started writing the title of this blog post as "when the clothes don't fit in the closet".

Struck me funny ... the clothes fit in the closet but do YOU fit in them?!

This post was inspired by my decluttering project in the beginning of this New Year. I always like to start the year fresh with decluttered closets, e-mail, files, etc. It just feels SO good to "clean house" and make room for the new and exciting things that are yet to come!

Well, as I was going through my clothes closet of all those old corporate dress suits that I used to wear, I started trying them on and found that some of them didn't quite fit the way they used to. And here's where it gets interesting (coming from a Law of Attraction Health Coach) -- for a moment I was a bit annoyed! But then, I knew that whatever I was feeling wasn't going to serve me in any way, shape or form so I shifted my energy to what was feeling good to me. Here are a few things I said to myself that made me feel better:

1) I have an abundance of beautiful clothes that still fit me and I look really good in them!

2) Those clothes are out of date anyway -- those big shoulder pads are really not "in" any more!

3) I am healthy, strong and vibrant and who cares if a few pants don't fit me.
(said with a peaceful energy of "so what, who cares")

4) What does this observation really mean anyway -- some size 10's fit me and others don't -- so what does that really mean?
(My answer ... absolutely NOTHING!)

5) I am beautiful just the way I am.

I chose to shift my vibration in that moment so that I didn't continue to focus on something that I didn't like or that I didn't want to attract into my future life experiences. All was well and still is.

I have a clean clothes closet. I am donating some very sharp clothes to Goodwill -- some women are going to be very happy and look very professional in these clothes and get that job they want when they go on an interview!

It truly is all about what you focus on.

If you beat up on yourself about your weight, your body, or any other area of your life -- where is that going to lead you? Exactly to the place you don't want to go! It's going to keep you stuck with the things in your life that you really don't want but keep on attracting because your focus is mainly on the lack of what you want, not the way you want it to be.

Knowing the principles of the Law of Attraction will help you immensely in creating your life experiences, if only you choose to stop focusing on the things that make you feel bad. You can learn how to do this by making a conscious effort like I did to shift your focus to something that makes you feel better.

Jessica Simpson and Your Body Image?

Even though a couple days have passed since this ridiculous media story on Jessica Simpson, I just couldn't help to comment on it on my Weight Loss and Law of Attraction blog!

First of all, what was FOX thinking when they mocked Jessica Simpson's weight in that cartoon??? Really? Are you kidding me?

Do not let this story or any other story that is attacking someone because of their physical appearance impact your overall body image. These stories have nothing to do with you!

As a Law of Attraction Health Coach, here's what else I have to say on the matter:

1) News flash ... It only matters what Jessica Simpson thinks about her body! She said on Twitter "I will never understand why people attack for a laugh. Own your beauty and don't listen to the judgment!" Amen to that, Jessica! And don't even try to understand why people do what they do. You are absolutely right - We all should "own our beauty" and (let me add) not give a rip about what other people think or say about us. First of all, that says more about them than it does about us!

2) When the media reports stories like this, we have to remember one simple thing (no matter who you are -- whether you are an adult or a young girl or boy who is conscious of their weight):

=> If what you hear doesnt make you feel good, then turn it off, change the channel and don't let it absorb into your belief system.
It has nothing to do with you!

3) Love yourself just for who you are. I mentioned this in my You Tube video (see side panel of this blog to view the video on Law of Attraction and Weight Loss) -- You have to find the things you love about yourself and appreciate who you are right in this moment. If you don't like yourself or you judge yourself as being fat, flabby, out-of-shape, you are not going to be able to easily attract to you the body that you do want. It's quite de-motivating to believe in those type of things that you are telling yourself.

Be at peace with where you are at, with a clear intention of where you want to go with your overall health and wellness.

Well, that's what I have to say on this topic ... and don't even get me started on the Barbie Doll and Fat ankles story. Again, pay it no mind. It's just a story and it has nothing to do with your body image.
Think highly of yourself! Know that you are beautiful, no matter how much you weigh.
A person with confidence and a deep appreciation for who they are is far more attractive than any person who just happens to be super skinny (by the standards of the critics out there!)

Own your beauty!
