Why is it NOT happening yet? - a Law of Attraction No-No!

In just the asking of the question “Why is it not happening yet?” you are giving attention to the fact that it is not happening – which is what you will continue to attract …
nothing happening.

It’s all about your focus. If you keep on looking for the manifestation of your desires, observing that you haven’t achieved what you want and feeling bad about it, you will continue to attract more of the same life experiences. Your focus is all around the lack of something that you want, not the eager anticipation of manifesting what you want! You can tell if you are focused on the lack of something by how you feel when you think about it.

If you are frustrated, disappointed, discouraged, then you are focused on the lack of having it!

Think about it ... if you are frustrated and disappointed, how are you ever going to attract what you really want? If weight loss is your goal, are you going to be motivated to go to that gym or do something active and fun if you are feeling bad about where you are at? No, of course not.

Same goes for the subject of MONEY ... if you keep on taking a snapshot of where you are at and judging it as a "bad thing" and feeling horrible about it, how can you ever be a MONEY MAGNET?! You can't!

What you concentrate on … expands. (That's the Law of Attraction in action!)

So, if you concentrate on your goal or dream not happening, what will you get? More proof that it is not happening. Not only that, you will get very discouraged! And the energy of "discouraged" can NOT bring to you the positive manifestations. How could it?

You must turn your focus to what is working, the little “wins”, the proof that things are moving in the direction of your dreams. Look for that proof. Find the shifts that are happening that are definitely taking you in the right direction. If you can’t find anything in your life that proves that you are on your way, look for the evidence elsewhere that what you want is possible.

Observe instances where others have turned adversity into opportunity and then say to yourself “If they can do it, I can too!” You can choose to do that, just by reading my stories above! And if you find yourself cooking up a story about why they can have it and you can’t, stop and realize that it is just your fear and your gremlins talking! You can have anything you want when you change your mindset and belief around whether you can have it.

There is absolutely no reason why you can’t (only the ones that you are telling yourself).

Change your story to one that is more empowering and watch the magic happen in your life.

And when all else fails and you find yourself with such a negative emotional charge around the dream you are not manifesting, turn your focus to something completely different - something that brings you pure joy! Make a list of things that put a smile on your face and make sure you do at least one of these things when you are in a funk about your dream not manifesting. Here are a few examples of things that are on my Smile List:

1) Go out to my favorite restaurant with my honey (if you are wondering, I LOVE PF Changs!)
2) Take a 4-mile walk down by the river
3) Connect with my wonderful community of positive friends on Twitter
4) Pet my favorite neighborhood dog
5) Read a great inspirational book
6) Watch a funny movie
7) If I am in the mood - declutter! (the energy of de-cluttering can feel SO freeing!)
8) Take a road trip
9) Coaching my wonderful clients

You would be amazed at what happens when you turn your focus to that which puts a smile on your face and brings you great joy. The desires and dreams you want start manifesting with ease. Start making your very own Smile List and turn to it when you are feeling frustrated that your dreams and desires are not here yet!

So, instead of having that mentality of the kid who keeps on asking on that road trip “Are we there yet?”, start enjoying the journey of getting there and know, right down to the core of your being that you WILL get there. Just know!

Decide that you will get there and leave the HOW to the Universe!

No Pain ... No Gain (that's just a bunch of ...!)

I am sure you have heard the phrase ... “No Pain … No Gain”.

Well, I don’t believe in that (as you can clearly see by the ad lib on my title of this blog post)

My motto is ... “No Joy, No Gain, No Life!

I used to be on the swim team in high school where the coach said all the time “No pain, no gain!” He wanted us to work our butts off until we were absolutely exhausted and feeling that muscle burn from all the practicing we were doing. He had that reputation of being tough and getting results through sweat and tears. He even had his own slogan:
“When the body says NO, Schlagle says GO!” (i.e., the coach’s name was “Schlagle”)

Well, I don’t really know how that worked out for him in the long run, but I do know that this is not the philosophy that I buy into. You shouldn’t have to work so hard and feel pain in order to get results. When it feels hard you are actually going against the grain of your well-being. Life is supposed to be fun. Life is meant to be enjoyed. Feeling JOY unlocks the door to all your dreams.

I help my coaching clients to feel joy NOW, no matter what is going on in their life. It’s about reaching for that “feel good place” in this present moment. That is what will help you to manifest your dreams. That is what will make you feel alive and have a life that is so delicious!

When you feel joy, your life experiences will unfold beautifully and sometimes in many pleasant and unexpected ways. Don’t buy into the belief that you have to work hard or feel the pain in order to get the results you want. That belief will not serve you and only keep you from achieving your dreams with ease. And if you do buy into that belief, you may get there, but at what cost? Will you even be able to enjoy it?

And here's the thing about aligning with your joy first ... you will attract any goal that you have (from health goal to financial goal to relationships goal) much faster. Why? Because every positive manifestation that you experience in your life has stemmed from one thing and one thing only ... you feeling good!

So, let's give an example here around weight loss. Let's say you are busting your butt at the gym feeling the pain and burn (yes, I know ... sometimes that "burn" from weight training actually feels good). But, you feel that you are pushing yourself way too hard; you ache all the time; you are exhausted; you don't look forward to going to the gym anymore.

Do you REALLY think that you are going to attract that healthy and fit body and maintain that body forever and ever, especially when you are not feeling pure joy? Most likely NOT! Matter of fact I am going to say ... you won't!

Now, if you are loving every minute of that work out and feeling really good each time you feel that "burn" and celebrating each and every day how fantastic you feel, then you will continue to attract that healthy and fit body and stay that way!

Get it?

It's all about JOY. If you are not feeling joy in the action steps you are taking towards your goals and dreams, then manifesting your dreams will feel harder than it should feel. Matter of fact, you may keep on putting the pause button on the manifestation every time you are feeling "off" or concentrating on the exact thing you don't want. And then, that journey to your goal will feel like a very long & difficult journey. But it doesn't have to be that way!

Make your joy #1 and the "gains" in your life will be abundant and beautiful. And when I say "gains", I am referring to the beautiful manifestations of all your desires and dreams!

And anyway, what's life without feeling joy? Isn't that what everyone ultimately wants?

When the clothes in the closet don't fit!

I started writing the title of this blog post as "when the clothes don't fit in the closet".

Struck me funny ... the clothes fit in the closet but do YOU fit in them?!

This post was inspired by my decluttering project in the beginning of this New Year. I always like to start the year fresh with decluttered closets, e-mail, files, etc. It just feels SO good to "clean house" and make room for the new and exciting things that are yet to come!

Well, as I was going through my clothes closet of all those old corporate dress suits that I used to wear, I started trying them on and found that some of them didn't quite fit the way they used to. And here's where it gets interesting (coming from a Law of Attraction Health Coach) -- for a moment I was a bit annoyed! But then, I knew that whatever I was feeling wasn't going to serve me in any way, shape or form so I shifted my energy to what was feeling good to me. Here are a few things I said to myself that made me feel better:

1) I have an abundance of beautiful clothes that still fit me and I look really good in them!

2) Those clothes are out of date anyway -- those big shoulder pads are really not "in" any more!

3) I am healthy, strong and vibrant and who cares if a few pants don't fit me.
(said with a peaceful energy of "so what, who cares")

4) What does this observation really mean anyway -- some size 10's fit me and others don't -- so what does that really mean?
(My answer ... absolutely NOTHING!)

5) I am beautiful just the way I am.

I chose to shift my vibration in that moment so that I didn't continue to focus on something that I didn't like or that I didn't want to attract into my future life experiences. All was well and still is.

I have a clean clothes closet. I am donating some very sharp clothes to Goodwill -- some women are going to be very happy and look very professional in these clothes and get that job they want when they go on an interview!

It truly is all about what you focus on.

If you beat up on yourself about your weight, your body, or any other area of your life -- where is that going to lead you? Exactly to the place you don't want to go! It's going to keep you stuck with the things in your life that you really don't want but keep on attracting because your focus is mainly on the lack of what you want, not the way you want it to be.

Knowing the principles of the Law of Attraction will help you immensely in creating your life experiences, if only you choose to stop focusing on the things that make you feel bad.
